An Intro to Me

Hello and welcome! My name is Rachel and I have been crocheting since I was 10/11 years old (that makes it 17 years as of 2023). I learned from my grandmother, and she and I share that connection to this day. Although she never created her own patterns, every family member of ours owns something that she made even if she made it for them as a child. I still have my purple granny rectangle afghan to this day even though it’s too small for me. Anyway, she started me on my journey and since then, I grew and work on more complex patterns, and I have even created a few of my own (which I will one day have written down so I can share them or repeat them).

      Though crochet is the main medium that I create through, I sometimes do other crafty activities that I will also share on here if not on my Instagram that’s linked up in the corner. I enjoy sharing the results with others, and I’m determined to share parts of the process on here as well. I have a store where I will sell some items if they aren’t designated for someone else too.

               From my website name, you can tell I have at least one cat, and cat pictures will be a part of my webpage. I have two cats, currently, named Jericho and Misty. Jericho is black and white (I think he’s a ragamuffin, but I’m not 100% sure) and Misty is a muted tortoiseshell. Both are my babies. Sometimes a third cat will be shown: that is Daisy. I only had her for a few years before losing her last year to a liver tumor, but she will always have a place in my heart and on this page.

               I hope anyone that stumbles upon my website, Instagram, or Pinterest enjoys and/or appreciates the content I put out whether it has to do with my cats, crocheting, or some craft I’ve decided to work on. There are ways to subscribe or to contact me through comments or email too. That way, we can have a discussion if you choose. Also, I do work night shift for my full-time job, so please don’t judge me on the time that posts may occur or when I reply to any messages. Unfortunately because of this I don’t operate on the most normal schedule.
